Playing in Leaves

With the weather being so nice this past week, Todd decided that he wanted to teach Kylie about jumping in leaves.....he got out the rake and made a nice pile and then pretended to throw her into them, but really he just set her in the pile. Kylie wasn't so sure about this because she was completely covered, of course Todd was right there to "uncover" her and help her sit up, once she was sitting in them, she loved them!!! We even found a leaf in her diaper later that night when it was bath time.

Playing with daddy in the leaves

Kylie wanted to help fix the pile, she was trying to pick up the rake and actually use it. Unfortunately for her the rake was a little bit too big, she was only able to lift the handle, but couldn't figure out how exactly she was supposed to use it.
I wanted a cute picture of the three of us, but Kylie didn't understand to look up at Todd's hand and the camera, we tried about 4 pictures, and she didn't look any of the times and got very bored and wandered away from us.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Kylie got a pretty Halloween dress from Grandma and she wore it twice last week, once on Tuesday to Sandy's and then on Friday to Mary's.
I was able to get Kylie's hair into pigtails that looked like her bug antennae, Erin made us pretty bows, but she wouldn't keep them in, then I found a headband that was antennae and she wouldn't keep that on either, so I thought it couldn't hurt to try to get her to wear piggies, and she actually didn't mind them. I will have to do them in her hair again soon, they are so cute!

My little ladybug, of course! Would anyone expect any less from me :) I know, I know, she will probably grow up with a ladybug fear, but for now it is fun! The costume was actually a hand-me-down, if we hadn't gotten it, I would have probably found one for her anyway.
Getting ready to go trick-or-treating with daddy, even her basket was a ladybug!
She got this sucker at the first house and we were leaving the fourth house in the next picture, Todd was carrying her because she was very interested in going into people's houses and didn't want to leave. She would stand at the door and push on it while Todd and I tried to get her to say "Trick or Treat." When people would open their doors, because they heard us, then she would try to climb in the houses, luckily we only went to our neighbors and know most of them, I think there were only two houses that we hadn't met yet and she still tried to work her way inside.
Here we are back at home, Nana and Papa stayed at our house and handed out candy, when we got back Kylie went right up to them and said "Please?"
She was so funny running around the drive way when we got home, she even got out the basketballs and her hoop and got Papa to play basketball with her :)
It was getting colder outside so we went in and she was still running around....she didn't even get any of the candy :) She loved her costume and I kept asking if she was ready to take it off and she would look right at me and say, "No," and then run the other way.

The Annual Michigan State/UofM game party

The kids all playing while the adults try to watch football. Erin made all the girls matching bows, they kept them in for a little while, notice how Kylie's is out of her reach (kind of). This is what happens when you have 7 children from the age 1 to 3 and a half, all the toys were out, everywhere, good times!!!
Even Kylie's toy box in her room was cleaned out....I found a brush and a missing hoodie, thanks everyone for helping find my missing items ;)
Kylie and Kedzie, they are 5 days apart in age, they loved getting in Kylie's bed and jumping. We wanted to get a picture of all 7 kids in one location, so we decided to put them all in Kylie's crib....it worked for the most part. Sophie didn't want to be in there with all the other kids, it kind of scared her.

Even Mia was dressed for the big game! GO GREEN!
Our family picture after all of our friends left....aren't we cute all dressed in Green! We had a great day celebrating a great victory! We love hosting the party at our house, it is great getting everyone together!

Corrections

O.k. so I am doing multiple posts and I just realized in my first two from today that captions and photos are not aligning, for whatever reason the way the pictures are loading in my edit screen and then posting on the blog are not the same...I'm sorry for any confusion, now back to posting more photos, I think after today I will have about 5 new posts!

The Pumpkin Patch

We took Kylie back to Post Family Farm this year for another great time on a hayride and picking pumpkins. Just for fun I put a picture from last year, she was so little...and now she is so big :) Also last year was very warm and this year it was very cold. While we waited for the hayride this year, Todd gave Kylie a ride in the pumpkin wagon. Grandma and Grandpa came with us this year and Kylie rode on Grandpa's lap on the way out to get the pumpkins and then sat with Todd and I on the way back to the farm. After picking our pumpkins we had donuts and then fed the animals, Kylie even tried eating the feed corn, we pulled about 3 pieces out of her mouth, she loved giving it to the animals, and thought she might like to try it herself.

Fall Fun!

Here are some fun fall time pictures of our little pumpkin.....she loves watching "Little Einsteins"....in the top picture she is clapping with the show. She doesn't care how cold it is outside, or how bundled up she has to be, she loves to go out and play with the basketballs.

Here she is with her Chocolate face from Papa's birthday cake! She loved it!

Happy girl with her new pretty bow...and next to that with her cute down vest, she was helping Todd clean the driveway.
