Merry Christmas

So I know this is a lot of pictures, but Christmas is a very busy time for us, it begins with just the three of us opening gifts at home, and then Aunt Amy, Uncle Josh, Grandma, Grandpa, Gracie, Tia, Lucy, and Ethel all come over for waffles, egg casserole, and presents. Then we go to extended Sheldon Family Christmas and then to Nana and Papa's. Kylie had such a blast this year, and got so many presents including an easel from mommy and a t-ball set from daddy.

This is the comparison on our deck, the first picture is at 10:15 and the second one is at 12:15, there is so much blowing that the slider door is almost covered....the snow on the bottom is getting higher even as we sit here! So much snow....the last picture is Kylie's response to having a relaxing day at home.....she decided to start pulling everything out of her toy box one at a time and running it out to the living room....O.K. I am off to clean and wrap presents while she is sleeping!

These are a few comparisons, the first pictures are from 8:30 and the second one of each is from noon.....the first set is looking out our front window....it doesn't even look like we have a front porch any more.

A comparison from today to October, the same tree, in the same zoom lense......it was at 8:40 this morning so a little darker.....sorry I didn't compare the same time of day

Santa and Snow.....Kylie doesn't like either of them

On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving we took Kylie to the mall to see Santa.
Here is Kylie walking up to see Santa, she was so cute and happy....she had no idea what was in store for her :)
Then she freaked out, locked her legs, cried, and wouldn't let go of me, so Santa told me to sit down......it didn't work too well!

she was still upset, I'm trying to calm her down
Finally she calmed down and smiled for Todd who was hiding off to the side with Erin's camera, I was not able to let go of her though, she had a death grip on my arm!
Then on Sunday we decided to bundle her up in her cute new snow clothes (pants, coat, and boots from Grandma and Grandpa, and hat and mittens from Nana and Papa) and Todd took her outside to play in the snow....little did we know she would also hate this.
She just stood in one place and whined.....she was not interested. Todd put her on her back and helped her make a snow angel, that was no good either, then he helped her sit down...that wasn't any better....she didn't like it. We shall try again soon, she didn't like grass the first time either, but then she got used to it and I couldn't keep her out of it ;)
